Nadine Burnett was born and raised in St. Ann, Jamaica. While living in Jamaica, Mrs. Burnett obtained her nursing degree from Kingston School of Nursing. In 1995, Mrs. Burnett immigrated to the United States, where she gained first-hand experience in the immigration system while going through the process of obtaining her U.S. citizenship. After obtaining her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Molloy College in New York, Mrs. Burnett went on to obtain her Juris Doctor degree from New York's Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, where she excelled academically, receiving numerous awards. She then went on to work for a major medical malpractice insurance company and for a solo practitioner handling worker's compensation claims and social security disability. Mrs. Burnett is also an accomplished Registered Nurse with over 13 years experience.
Mrs. Burnett is licensed to practice law in the states of New York and New Jersey. She is Of Counsel to the Law Office of Fawn B. Dyer LLC for New Jersey cases and also maintains a separate private practice within New York.
